Pumpkin Apple Pie Protein Smoothie

The leaves are falling and the crisp smell of Autumn is in the air! Those last brutal summer months are over and it’s feeling chilly enough for a light sweater and a pumpkin spice latte. I love the feeling October brings; there’s excitement in the air with Halloween decorations on every porch and the holiday season just beginning. My cabinets are officially stocked with cans of pumpkin puree for whatever holiday recipe I decide to make next. I celebrated the start of October with my favorite smoothie recipe, my Pumpkin Apple Pie Protein Smoothie! This delicious smoothie is so tasty, you will think you’re eating a dessert for breakfast! It’s quick, easy, and very good for you!


I always start my smoothies with a frozen banana that I’ve kept in the freezer over night. Frozen bananas make your smoothies thicker and more creamy. I add a green apple to this recipe to add a bit of a sweet and sour bite to this, and it compliments the cinnamon perfectly. Apple and pumpkin are the two main flavors of any fall baked good after all! After that, simply add everything else into your smoothie and blend! I try to enjoy this smoothie as many times as I can while pumpkin is an acceptable flavor. It’s a perfect breakfast, snack, or dessert for the autumn months!


Pumpkin Apple Pie Protein Smoothie

Serving Size: 1 Smoothie

Calories per serving: 324 Calories


  • 1 Small Frozen Banana
  • 1 Granny Smith Green Apple
  • 3/4 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 Tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 3-4 Ice Cubes


  1. Freeze banana over night
  2. Slice apple into pieces before placing in blender
  3. Blend all ingredients and enjoy!
